Responsibilities

Position Overview:

Lone Star Circle of Cares seeks to hire Pediatricians who desire to work with an underserved population, providing empathic, professional, collaborative and patient-centered care to children and adolescents, birth to 18 years of age.   Briefly, routine preventative pediatric care includes well child and health supervision visits, evaluation of growth and development, immunizations (routine, plus COVID-19 and annual influenza vaccines), recommended screenings, and anticipatory guidance.  Pediatricians also provide treatment and management for acute and chronic medical conditions, including asthma and ADHD, ordering and interpretation of appropriate diagnostics, referring to specialists as appropriate, and providing current age-appropriate medical education.   

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board Certification in Pediatrics (if Board Eligible, must attain board certification within 2 years of hire or end of eligibility period, if sooner), with ongoing maintenance of certification
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine issued by the Texas Medical Board
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
  • Proficiency with an electronic medical system
  • Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills
